1) A very light aircraft, also called sailplane without engine thrust. It needs to be lifted up by a small prop aircraft. Once it is at a sufficent altitude, the cable used for lifting up is detached from its nose and the glider flies freely. In order to maintain its altitude, glider pilots use to catch the so called lifting or ascending windstreams, usually generated by hot air moving up to clouds, and mountainous landscapes. 2)Usually told about an aircraft who has lost any thrust because of engine failure or running out of fuel. A glider is a woman with a loose and very well lubricated vaginal region allowing a gliding effect upon entry of the male penis. Means "It glides in". Was originally the fight song of the Swedes during the World Cup hockey championships of 1995, held in Sweden. Also intended to be the official song of the championships. Unsurprisingly, it became very popular in Finland after we won the World Cup for the first time ever. Our national hockey team, the Lions, actually recorded it. Even now, people sing it when they gather in bars to watch hockey games, no matter who the opponent may be. All the better if it's Sweden. Urban Dictionary

Bacon gliders -noun Protuberant or hanging labia minora that can hang far below the labia majora. 'Bacon' because these wrinkled fleshly lips bear a striking resemblence to bacon strips and 'gliders' because they often strongly recall the outstretched patagium, or furry parachute-like membrane of the flying squirel in mid-glide. Madonna helped sear the image of bacon gliders into popular imagination when a notorious circa 1979 black and white nude of her sold at Christie's for $37,500. To the general horror of the public, Madonna's labia minora flaps hung out several inches from her body. Bacon gliders can fortunately be removed in a cosmetic procedure called labiaplasty. Some have suggested that the mysterious and highly unflattering bulge we often see in Lady Gaga's panties is in fact folded bacon gliders. Urban Dictionary

The aircraft was subsequently recovered from Gimli and flew for Air Canada for another 25 years before being finally retired in January 2008. 2. Subsequently, the term 'Gimli glider' has become Canadian slang for a particularly glaring screw-up. Urban Dictionary
