Noir. was founded in January 17th, 2008 by CEO Alekseyev Karrde following a split from his previous mercenary corporation (who had decided to go outlaw). Having had a taste of the mercenary life Alekseyev set forth to find a corporation which offered small gang warfare and, in the mercenary spirit, paid it's pilots for their performance. Combining his previous experience of running corporations, and his experiences as a mercenary pilot, Alekseyev founded Noir. - becoming one of (if not the only) corporation with a pilot orientated pay structure recruiting at that time. As a one man corporation, Noir. performed well on it's first few contracts. Recruitment was initially slow due to the newness of the corporation and the competition from other start up mercenaries. However, contracts were aggressively pursued, leading to Noir. receiving a high profile contract against Exa Nation. This campaign saw Noir. put up comparable (or even better) fleets compared to the famed R.E.P.O mercenary corporation (who had also declared war upon Exa Nation later that same week). Since then, Noir. has taken on a gruelling contract schedule and shown extreme tenacity and valued competence, leaving a long string of happy employers behind. Urban Dictionary
