A city off of Dallas with a well known school district where they give you so much homework and other school stuff that it's like a concentration camp. it can be separated into 3 areas: West, Central, and East. the stereotypic west planoite is a rich snobby person when in real life they are just a bunch of druggies and alcoholics who have rich or upper middle class parents. on the east side the stereotypic planoite is a gang banger when they're just the lower middle class and down. in the central area they are just the normal people who are in the middle class. so basically how it works is the east kids don't like the west kids because they think they're all rich and the west kids don't like the east kids cause they think they're all gang bangers that are going to end up killing them and the central kids are just kinda stuck in the middle of the fight. A medium-sized community (about 250,000 people) in the northeastern sector of the DFW metroplex. Alot of shit is said about it from people who don't even live here. First of all, let me begin by saying that really the only "rich" part of Plano is the area in between George Bush Tollway, Dallas North tollway, Windhaven Parkway, and Preston Road, which only makes up for about 1/6 of the city as a whole. However, once you pass Coit road going west, you will definitely notice a change in atmosphere. Even then it's not rich, if you want to see rich go to Beverly Hills. And there are actually many low-income government housing projects in the Plano West attendance zone. Plano is also known for its abundance of movie theatres, such as the Cinemark Legacy, Tinseltown, the Angelika, the Movies 10 dollar theatre (YES! a DOLLAR THEATRE in PLANO!!! As has been said, there are several parts to plano: West: Filled with smart gpa whorin asians and rich whites. Central: Diverse, older part of Plano, cool place. East: The "ghetto" part of plano (btw thats some bull) I have lived in Plano and now live in Peoria, IL and parts of peoria are REAL ghetto. East Plano is like KKK headquarters compared to peoria. Suburb of Dallas, Texas. We're pretty diverse. You got the minorities in the east who beat/shoot each other up. You got the middle class mixture in the center of the city who is high on pot. Then you've got the snobbily rich white kids in the west who are high on heroine. Urban Dictionary

A city close to Dallas. Unfortunately the stereotypes are pretty true. West was the richer side of town; rich kids all fucked off on some shit living in nice ass houses. Everyone was on prescription drugs. The vibe I felt from west plano people: super sexually weird, sort of reminded me of serial killers. There was a nigga that liked to drug girls at parties and rape them. I knew a girl , who fell victim to the therapy of prescription drugs and believed that since she didn’t have her adderrall, it was ok to do meth. East Plano- full of wanna be drug dealers and kids who liked to party. middle class, some upper. Sadly two of the guys I knew couldn’t see life any other way. One of them was a smart guy but he kept using drugs and couldn’t stay out of jail. He’s out now, dating a stripper on acid. The other is a runaway meth dealer who went from motel livin n pimpin to rottin and hidin away in storage units in the dallas area (he thought it was cool to get the Plano emblem tattooed on his face if that tells you anything). Then of course I do know people that actually grew the fuck up and stayed away from the “im bored and wanna live a drug fueled life that will do me no good”. And I guess similar stories happen all around the world but this was my personal experience with Plano, Tx. And lastly, yes, in the 90’s, Plano was known for the heroin deaths. Urban Dictionary
