U.S. public schools are shitty prisons where kids learn to hate math, english, history, science, and physical ed. that's why we have a problem with having too many uneducated, illiterate, and obese people in america. everyone who doesn't have an extra $30,000 to spend sending their kids to private schools are forced to make them go to public school. teachers can't be fired after working at the school for 2 years, so you get lots of shitty old teachers that don't care about their students because they know they can't lose their job. the school's main focus is preparing students for the standardized tests, which have such low expectations it's unbelievable. A place where kids learn to become assholes in the future. A place where teachers are tired and don’t give a shit about the students so they try to hide it by giving you a bad grade, calling you out, or making you do stupid activities and projects and presenting them. There are plenty of opportunities to do homeschooling or attending an online schooling system, and trust me, dropping out isn’t the best option for some people. How the government tortures kids ages 5-18. The government forces each student to get up at 6:00 in the morning to get ready to go to school at 7:45 in the morning and are there until 3:30. The government tries to tell us that we "learn" things we'll need in the future, yet we actually need much of it. Most kids like me actually enjoy learning a ton. Let's take speed of sound for example. I enjoy learning about the sound barrier and what happens when it's broke, but I just hate the fact I'm forced to memorize the speed of sound and other crappy stuff. What's worse is that you get tested on it, and if you fail, that's too bad, it defeats the purpose. If kids were to be left on their devices to learn themselves, I bet you they won't ever want to come back home after school. Also if freaking Physical Education was taken out too. It's the reason why bullying rates are so high as little 6th graders who aren't strong but extremely intelligent are being bullied by jock head 8th grade football players who already lost their virginity to some cheerleaders. In Britain this is a private school. In other words you pay to attend. Many are boarding schools. The pupils are well off ,well spoken and very British. Common sports played are rugby, hockey(field) and lacrosse. Urban Dictionary

The places that a lot kids age 5-18 go to 5 days a week for 6-8 hours. They are basically prisons, trying to cram useless information in your brain. They lock you in classrooms, and don't let you go to the bathroom until class is over. And even in those 4 minutes in between classes, you still can't use the bathroom cause everyone else is. Some public schools (like mine) have a very severe drug problem, and have even had police come because of it. They say that what they're teaching you is just preparing you for the next grade, so when are we gonna do actual learning, and not preparing? Everyone bullies you, even the teachers. One of my teachers called 3 boys some "waste of air" and literally no one disagreed with her. She was old and senile, and nobody liked her. Except for one of my friends that I was fake to. She was a good two shoes who nobody liked. I was forced to be her friend. So yeah. Don't send your kids to public school. Private school would be nice. Or even homeschool. Urban Dictionary
