A decent size town in CT, located between New Haven & Hartford. There are two high schools; Sheehan is on the west side and Lyman Hall is on the east side. These two schools are huge rivals and most of the kids hate eachother. Weekends consist of house parties, woods parties, bonfires, or just driving around smoking/drinking because theres nothing else better to do. Once out of highschool many weekends may be spent in downtown new haven at all the clubs. No one usually goes that far for college. The majority of people will go to UCONN, Southern, Central, and some other close schools. Wallingford is pretty much a bubble. If you live there you will probably live there the rest of your life and hang out at all the same places with all the same people. Once 21 you can go to the center of town and bounce around those bars and thats probably as exciting as your life will ever get living here. Urban Dictionary

A fairly large town of about 40,000 people mostly white but there deffinately are african americans, puerto ricans, mexicans, etc. Consists of mostly middle class people but there are the richer sections along with the poorer sections. It has 2 public highschools sheehan, westside, and lyman hall eastside and one private school, choate. Everyone from wallingford hates the "choaties" as theyre refered to as. Many people from the 2 public highschools are friends but they form really intense rivalries for sports and such. The thanksgiving football game is HUGE. Everyone smokes pot or atleast knows where to find it. Wallingford is a big party town, house parties happen frequently. People "pregame" aka drink before just about anything like sporting events, movies, school, church, going out to dinner etc. Beer pong is essential for a party to be considered a party. Toms makes the best breakfast. If theres nothing to do you might end up at mcdonalds(even though theres virtually everyother fast food place a minute away)and youll probly see someone you know. Wallingford people live for the weekends. Urban Dictionary

Yes, it is a fairly wealthy town in Connecticut, but nothing compared to Fairfield County. Contrary to what most believe, most residents do no flaunt their money, but some do. There are plenty of large expensive homes, but there are a lot of small, medium sized homes. Many people do, in fact, have second homes (the cape, vineyard, Vermont, Florida) and many vacation any chance they get. But you have to understand that this is not the case for everyone in town. The stereotypical Wallingford kid is polo popping and has a nice car, but again, it's not everyone. College is big...very big. A schools reputation goes a long way in this town. Ivies and mini-ivies are common, but a ton of kids go to Uconn. 95% of Wallingford high school students go on to college. Schools in town are very competitive, if u have a B average (3.0 GPA) you almost always in the bottom half of your class. Parties are also a big thing. BMWs, Mercedes, Lexus, Land Rovers, and so on are not uncommon, but there are plenty of Chevys, fords, and jeeps. Snobbery is something you have to get used to, but not everyone is a stuck up. My point is that Wallingford is not filthy rich. There are plenty of average families who work hard and live modestly. It's a great town.If you wanna see rich go to Fairfield County. Urban Dictionary

Is a town 15 minutes north of New Haven. It is a very white town, with about 10 black people who have trickled in from Hamden or Meriden by accident, and the rest are Mexicans that work in the restaurants as cooks or the local Laundrymat Chain "White Way" (ironically named). Wally World as it is affectionately known as, has access to all the major roadways in CT, just like Meriden, however Meriden is a sh*thole, so most people that have jobs and ambition live in Wallingford. Most people that are born in this town tend to stay there forever working at Ulbrich, Amphenol, or a number of other larger companies in the Industrial Parks. There are plenty of decent places to eat for fine dining, some great bars, and ofcourse, some of the finest dives in the universe....headlined by "The Monte Carlo"...where you can get the finest canned beer money can buy. There is every chain restaurant possible, Including CT's only Sonic, so you will have plenty of choices to hit up when you get the muchies on your "bake ride" around town. Wallingford people have a lot of pride in their town, like to get into everyone else's drama, and are definitely not afraid to fight for no apparent reason. Summers are filled with the "ping" of plastic hitting aluminum over at the softball fields Westside and Doolittle where there is more beer being drunk than actual softball being played. All in all, wallingford is a great town to raise a family. Urban Dictionary

A town in Connecticut, my home. It is also the home of Choate the prep school. Wallingford is not a rich town or a poor town and we have some real nice areas. It can be a little boring but for the most part not too bad...just dont say anything bad about us unless you've been here cause we are known to have attitudes, but we are friendly under most circumstances. We say we're from Wallyworld (i know kinda dumb) but other then that we're pretty low key Urban Dictionary

Some boring ass town right outside Philly. We don't really do much around here. And you're pretty much either a bad ass, a punk, or some crazy green-lovin tree hugger. Most of the girls are REALLY slutty and have sex in middle school, and the guys are all total pervs. Or, they are completely retarded when it comes to sexual things PRUDE, and they think they'll get somewhere in life if they "wait til their married"... uh huh... sureeee Urban Dictionary

Sunday, May 3, 2009 at day at the races (may in seattle, part 1) we drove up to seattle this weekend to hang with our rain city peeps. on saturday, we went to opening day of boating season with bryce and julie. we watched yachts, dragon boats and crew races in the drizzle, enjoying a couple of morning beers. then we spent the day in our old neighborhood, wallingford. we stopped in to my favorite seattle bakery, but their refrigerator case labeling was a little unappetizing. we wrapped up the evening with an awesome home-cooked mexican dinner - including handmade tortillas! ❋ E (2009)
