Let's face it, I'm discovering new and vital skills I never even imagined I'd need, such as how to whip your head around 360 degrees without losing any "wefts" (near-invisible fake strands clipped in to increase the thickness of your hair), how to keep your nipples from peeking out while shimmying (tape them in), how to do three consecutive pirouettes in 3in heels, and how to avoid wincing at the pain of the Chinese burn you get when a man grabs you by a wrist and ankle and whirls you horizontally in the air until you hit the ground in a hip-shocking spin. ❋ Pamela Stephenson Connolly (2010)
